Charleston Lewes
I worked with Charleston Trust as they embarked on their first meanwhile use project. The conversion of Lewes District Council’s offices into a gallery, cafe, shop & education space.
Working closely with the Charleston senior leadership team to overhaul plans for the space to better align them with the budget and time constraints. I then helped assemble the project team to deliver this exciting vibrant capital project which has created an excellent cultural asset for the town, and expanded Charleston’s reach.
Once the capital project was up and running I worked with the curatorial team to help design the first exhibition in the space.
This was a seriously ambitious project, and the speed with which Charleston managed the conversion was admirable. I offered a short blast of consultancy just as the project started, making an immediate impact and kick starting the process. I then got out of the way for the project team to deliver it.
